Traveling from Chiang Rai, Thailand to Luang Prabang, Laos by bus is an adventurous journey that offers scenic views and a chance to experience the local culture.
STEP 1: Chiang Rai - Chiang Khong (Thai border)
Departing: 1 p.m. The Van to pick you up at The Hotel in Town Go to Chiang Khong.
Thai Immigration: When Arrive Chiang Khong arrives, the van will stop at the Border of Thailand to Huay Xai, Laos Border by Cross-border bus.
Duration: journey takes about 3 hours.

STEP 2: Huay Xai (Lao Border) - Bus Station
Lao Immigration: Upon arrival in Huay Xai, go to the Lao Immigration Office to obtain your visa on arrival (if required) and complete the entry formalities.
Afterwards, our staff will take you to the bus station by Lao Luang Travel shuttle.

STEP 3: Huay Xai - Luang Prabang.
Tickets: Our staff will provide you with the original ticket for your trip to Luang Prabang upon arrival at Huay Xai Bus Station.
Bus: Sleeping Bus leave from Huay Xai Station to Luang Prabang on time 5:30 p.m
Duration: The Sleeping Bus journey can take around 12-14 hours.
